Climate change is biting. The northern hemisphere is shivering in the cold and northern Australia is drowning in flood waters (a couple of days ago 60% of Queensland was under water – that’s roughly twice the size of France). On the other hand, the southern half of Australia is scorched by sweltering heat, with shade temperatures in the mid 40 degrees Celsius (113 degrees Fahrenheit) reported in capital cities from Perth to Sydney. And not only humans suffer from heat stress – others in the animal kingdom do too. These pictures were taken at Maude (Adelaide) in South Australia. Apparently a little Koala just walked into the back porch of a home looking for a bit of heat relief. People in the house filled up a bowl with water and this is what supposedly happened!
