Another container house

the second example of a container house – not sure what the final design looks like. in any case though: it’s a great way of recycling which is one part of a sustainable approach to building homes. this lot is carved out of a hillside in the small community of cuastecomate just outside of melaque on the southern coast of jalisco in mexico. the containers come from the large shipping port of manzanillo about an hour south.

i wouldn’t mind the view, although i’d be concerned about rising sea levels and the hurricane activity in that part of the world – like the one a few days ago …
