When my mate Harry sent me a link to Google maps with driving directions from Seattle to Honolulu, and GMaps suggested kayaking across the Pacific I thought it might have been a joke – which in a way it is. It became clear when I replaced Seattle with Sydney. Good to see the Google coders are having fun.  I wonder how much it would add to the 40-day trip trying to decipher the Japanese road signs😉 .

You could of course also walk the 16,968 km in 141 days and 7 hours; GMaps though advises caution because “This route may be missing sidewalks or pedestrian paths”. Without doubt, it does.😀
