The Christian resolution to find the world ugly and bad has made the world ugly and bad.
In Heaven all the interesting men [and women] are missing

[Nietzsche of course forgot to add ‘women’]
There are no eternal facts, as there are no absolute truths.
Hope is indeed the worst of evils, for it prolongs the torture of men.
The most common lie is that which one lies to himself; lying to others is relatively an exception.
The “kingdom of Heaven” is a condition of the heart – not something that comes “upon the earth” or “after death.”
There is not enough love and goodness in the world to permit giving any of it away to imaginary beings.
God is a thought who makes crooked all that is straight.
When a hundred men stand together, each of them loses his mind and gets another one.
Insanity in individuals is something rare – but in groups, parties, nations and epochs, it is the rule.


You must have chaos within you to give birth to a dancing star.
